The History – from 1994 until today
- Frank Ebinger founds SAS Sonderabfallservice GmbH (subsequently ENVICA GmbH, now EBINGER GmbH)
- Dr. Schluttig is developing a professional sonochemical regeneration process for DeNOx catalysts, with which we can provide our customers with precise guarantees of activity and SO2 / SO3 conversion rates.
- Construction of a pilot plant in the HEW power station Tiefstack in Hamburg and execution of the first regenerations
- Patent registration of “Method to regenerate DeNOx – catalytic converters”.
- Handling of further regeneration contracts in the pilot plant
- Foundation of KAS Katalysatorservice GmbH in Wildeshausen near Bremen.

- The 5000th regenerated cubic meter of catalyst material leaves our plant in Wildeshausen after regeneration
- Granting of the patent in the USA
- Execution of an order for PG & E, power station Indiantown (USA) in Wildeshausen
- First order from the waste incineration plant – Stellinger Moor
- We receive our first European-wide order from the Langerlo power plant in Belgium
- Construction of an identical plant to Wildeshausen in Charlotte NC, USA
- Sale of the subsidiary in the USA
- More than 8,000 m3 of catalyst material regnerated in Wildeshausen.
- Granting of the patent in Germany
- A first order of the Cuijk biomass power station in the Netherlands
- This is followed by order processing for a Greenhouse from Fleco Trading, Denmark
- First order from Austria (EVN Dürnrohr 2)
- The biggest logistical challenge so far is the regeneration of 200m³ within 3 weeks for the Finnish power plant Meri-Pori
- Granting of the patent in Japan
- Changing the name of the company to “EBINGER Katalysatorservice GmbH & Co. KG”
- Shareholders are exclusively members of the Ebinger family
- Granting of the European patent
- First sale of regenerated used catalysts to Bayer Industry Services, SAV Bürrig
- Granting the license to KC Cottrell Co., LTD, Seoul, for the countries Korea, China and Taiwan
- We are regenerating for the first time for a cement plant, the Cementeria di Monselice from Italy
- This year the first catalysts from a glass factory of the Schott AG in Mitterteich were also regenerated
- Construction of a new warehouse
- EBINGER starts the series of conferences “Wildeshauser Catalyst Days”, an SCR experts meeting.
- In the same year, a first order for a power station operated by blast furnace gas from RWE Power AG in Duisburg-Hamborn follows
- France: EBINGER delivers used catalysts to a French waste incineration plant for the first time
- EBINGER becomes more international! For the first time, over 50% of the amount of regenerated catalysts comes from other European countries
- Ireland for the first time! For the order processing of an incinerator in Cork, strong logistics are also needed again
- Since catalysts are becoming more and more important in maritime applications, H + H provides us with a first regeneration order for the ship “Siem Garnet”
- Successful in Poland: EBINGER wins PKN Orlen as a customer
- For the coal-fired power plant Ratcliffe in the United Kingdom over 1,000 m³ of catalyst material are regenerated in our plant
- Delivery of catalysts to a polyolefin plant (LyondellBasell)
- Our production plant is modernised. New and stronger overhead cranes will be installed
- This year we receive 80% of our orders from abroad
- Not only the number of our customers is growing, but also our storage capacity. EBINGER buys 3,500 m² of storage space
- Vive la France! We are happy about 5 new orders from France
- Ebinger secures the production site through extensive renovation of the treatment basins and high investments in occupational safety
- Corona is mastered: Through constant hygiene and safety measures as well as purchased air purifiers, we achieve the greatest possible virus protection in the factory and all offices. Result: no COVID-19 infection at Ebinger
- 2/3 of contracts in 2020 come from Germany
- the regeneration of catalysts from the cement industry gets rolling. The first orders were successfully completed
